Neue High-Speed-Kamera von Canon im Kommen?

Dass es langsam Zeit für die Ablösung der nicht gerade langsamen EOS-1D X Mark II (zum Test) wird, ist kein allzu großes Geheimnis. Dass nicht mehr allzu lange dauern könnte, dass zeigt nun der britische Canon Ambassador Andy Rouse. Dieser Teilt auf Twitter, dass er mit einem neuen “Kit” arbeiten würde.

Auf Instagram folgt dann wenig später das unten stehende Bild, zusammen mit der Aussage, dass er zum Ende es Tages die Serienbild-Geschwindigkeit von 30 fps auf 5 fps reduzieren musste, der er zu viele gute Aufnahmen produzieren würde.

Day 2 and after a frustrating morning with tigers, one half of the group took awesome leopard images in red light. The afternoon was much better with great encounters with T57, T105 Noori and the ever elusive T60 “Ghost”. Since any encounter with T60 is a rare one these days, and it’s even rarer to get her looking at you, I decided to post one of her. I know it’s quite straight but it’s a nice angle and she’s looking like the menacing old girl she is. I can only work with the light conditions I’m given, this avo was slightly overcast so this was as good as it gets. But portraits like this are great in overcast conditions as you can see the eyes, a rare event with our lovely Ghost. Diese Aussagen führen natürlich unweigerlich zu der Überlegung, dass ein neues Top-Modell von Canon im Einsatz muss. Vor dem Profi-Hintergrund, liegt eigentlich auf der Hand, dass es sich um eine EOS-1D X Mark III handeln müsste. Selbst bei einer EOS 7D Mark II, die ebenfalls auf der Liste der möglichen Neuvorstellungen steht, wäre es unwahrscheinlich, dass Canon direkt auf 30 fps geht. Als dritte Möglichkeit steht natürlich noch ein neues EOS-R-Modell im Raum, das auf den High-Speed-Einsatz getrimmt wurde.
