Sigma 50-500mm F4-6.3 EX DG/HSM:

Pressemitteilung:

The Sigma Corporation is pleased to announce the new 50-500mm F4-6.3 EX DG HSM for the Four Thirds fitting.

This high zoom ratio lens is optimised for digital SLR cameras and capable of covering a wide range of focal lengths from 50mm standard to 500mm ultra telephoto. When used on a Four Thirds camera, the effective focal length will be 100-1000mm. This ultra-zoom lens employs a seven-group zoom system, which provides a high zoom magnification of 10x. Triple-cam Rear Focusing System ensures high precision throughout the whole focus range.

The new lens coating reduces flare and ghosting, is a common problem of digital cameras, and also creates an optimum colour balance.

This lens uses four pieces of SLD (the special low dispersion) glass for excellent correction of color aberration.

A zoom lock switch eliminates ‘zoom creep’ during transportation, a convenient addition when traveling.

The rear focus mechanism produces a non-rotating front lens element which accepts a bayonet petal shaped hood, included, which prevents extraneous light from degrading the image quality.

Sigma 30mm F1.4 EX DC HSM:

Pressemitteilung:

The Sigma Corporation is pleased to announce the new 30mm F1.4 EX DC HSM for the Four Thirds fitting.

Two SLD glass elements are especially effective in the compensation of magnification chromatic aberration.

A molded glass aspherical lens at the rear lens group reduces colour aberration and provides high-quality image results.

The lens creates exceptionally sharp images of high contrast from its minimum focusing distance of 40cm to infinity.

The HSM design provides quiet high-speed auto-focus with full-time manual focus override. The large maximum aperture of F1.4 produces a versatile lens that performs superbly in a great range of applications including portraiture, indoor and studio work and landscape photography.

Internal focusing means the front element does not rotate, allowing for use of the screw-in petal shaped hood (included) and for convenient use of circular polarizing filters. It is also possible to attach an 62mm filter in front of the lens hood.

Specification:
Focal Length (4/3 Format): 60mm

The Sigma Corporation is pleased to announce the new 18-50mm 2.8 EX DC for the Four Thirds fitting.

The characteristics of digital SLR cameras were taken into consideration when designing the lens power layout. The new advanced lens design corrects various aberrations. This lens provides the utmost correction against lateral chromatic aberration which is a serious problem for digital SLR cameras.

This lens is specially coated to get the best colour balance whilst cutting down flare and ghosting, caused by reflections from the digital image sensor and lens. It has excellent correction for vignetting and superior peripheral brightness is ensured.

A Special Low Dispersion (SLD) lens and two aspherical lens elements provide excellent correction for all types of aberrations. The design produces a compact and lightweight, yet robust, construction with an overall length of 84.1mm (3.3in.), maximum diameter of 74.1mm (2.9in.) and weight of 445g (15.6oz).

This lens has a minimum focusing distance of 28cm (11in.). It is equipped with an inner focusing system. The non-rotating front lens element makes the lens suitable for using its petal-type lens hood and circular polarizing filters.

Sigma 105mm F2.8 EX DG Macro:

Pressemitteilung:

The Sigma Corporation is pleased to announce the new 105mm F2.8 EX DG Macro for the Four Thirds fitting.

This medium telephoto macro lens produces an excellent optical performance due to its new lens power layout. The new lens coating cuts down ghosting, the influence of harmful light caused by reflections from the digital image sensor. Its outstanding optical performance provides the ultimate correction against lateral chromatic aberration and distortion.

This lens boasts compact dimensions of 74mm (maximum diameter) and 97.5mm (overall length). It has a filter size of 58mm and, at just 450gms, is also extremely lightweight. The minimum focusing distance of 31.2cm (12.2”) is capable of macro photography with a maximum magnification of 1:1. It is possible to enjoy photography from life-size close-up to infinity.

This lens is equipped with a “Focus Limiter Switch” that limits the AF range so improving the speed and accuracy of autofocus. It also incorporates a Dual Focus (DF) system that is designed to make the lens easy to hold during auto focusing. The large focus ring offers smooth and positive action whilst focusing manually. A screw-in hood is included, for convenient use of circular polarizing filters.

Sigma APO 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG Macro HSM:

Pressemitteilung:

The Sigma Corporation is pleased to announce the launch of the new 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG MACRO HSM lens.

This large aperture zoom lens has a minimum focusing distance of 100cm (39.4”) throughout the entire zoom range. It`s maximum magnification of 1:3.5 makes it ideal for close-up photography.

The lens uses two ELD (Extraordinary Low Dispersion) and two SLD(Special Low Dispersion) glass elements for excellent correction of various chromatic aberrations. The power layout and multi-layer lens coating reduce flare and ghosting, a common problem with digital cameras, and also create an optimum color balance and excellent picture quality through the entire zoom range.

The HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) system ensures quiet and high-speed auto focusing with full time manual focus override. The lens design incorporates inner focusing and inner zooming systems. As the overall length of the lens does not change during focusing and zooming, convenient handling is ensured. A removable, extended tripod collar (TS-41) is included as standard.

The addition of the 1.4x EX DG APO or 2x EX DG APO Tele Converters (optional extras) produces a 98-280mm F4 AF telephoto zoom lens or a 140-400mm F5.6 AF telephoto zoom lens respectively.
